Hey there! I love the look of this smoothie bowl! They are fun to look at and fun to make. Visually pleasing things always get a thumbs up in my book! I had actually never made one before this, but I figured it's no different than making an actual smoothie. Choosing the toppings was interesting too. I basically just threw in what I had in the pantry, and the risk paid off! I was surprised to like the pistachios with the strawberry and banana flavors. That's the actual smoothie part. I loved having the freedom to top it off how I wanted, and it felt a lot like going to a froyo place! This bowl makes the perfect breakfast for those sunny spring mornings. Get the recipe below!
- 7 or 8 strawberries, chopped
- one frozen banana, sliced
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1 cup of almond milk
- whatever toppings you like! I used granola and pistachios, more chia seeds, strawberries, and sliced bananas.
Step one - Blend everything but your toppings until smooth. Pour into your bowl of choice, and have fun with toppings!
