To Style / Favorite Summer Shoes

Good morning! Just wanted to share my essential summer shoes with you today! I can always find a pair I love at probably any store, but I try and keep the hoarding to a minimum. Check out my four picks below!

Favorite Summer Shoes:

- Mules (top left) / These are my go-to shoe for when I want to be a little dressy, but keep the rest of the outfit casual.

- Flat Slide Sandals (top right) / My every day shoe in the summer. It doesn't get much better than a classic and quality leather sandal!

- White Sneakers (bottom left) / Perfect for pairing with a cute mini dress or with denim shorts and a blouse for the park with Bailey.

- Blush Pumps (bottom right) / These are my favorite dressy heels for any season, but the blush color pairs perfectly with those summer sunsets!

Thanks for reading, and have a fun Monday!

For New Shoes!

Hi there! I just wanted to do a quick post on the shoes I received for my birthday from my awesome parents! I usually just pick most of my presents out, because I can be picky, but I still get excited opening them. If you've been pining for something, of course it will still be exciting to actually get! That was the case with these super pretty Asos pumps.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of low-heel pumps for awhile, and finally found them a couple of months ago. I immediately texted my mom, telling her they are the main thing I want for my birthday, and a few months later, here we are! I like to try and get the things I fall in love with pretty quickly, because I hate the disappointment of your size selling out. It's selfish, I know, but I just get so excited for things like this that I can't help it.

Onto the shoes themselves: they are in a soft blush suede with a thick block heel, so they are super sturdy and easy to walk in. Asos always kills it in the affordable shoe game, usually being the first ones to jump on trends. Be on the look out for these guys in some style posts coming up! Catch ya later!

Mom Style: Ankle Boots for Spring

I promised a post on these boots awhile back, and here it is! I purchased them at an H&M in Denver, and they are probably one of my best buys ever. Black ankle boots are an essential for almost any wardrobe. They are super versatile, and have quickly become a "basic" ever since ankle boots rose to popularity around 8 years ago. I've had a few pairs over the years, but these are my most favorite. They are a dark black suede and with a solid block heel and a tall boot shaft (as far as ankle boots go), they are also my most comfortable pair yet. The block heel and boot shaft provide so much support and stability, it barely feels like you are wearing a heel.

I decided to pair them with my crop flare jeans, considering the cropped style shows off the boots so well, and a small t-shirt I also picked up in Denver!

Side note: the heels on these are a little over four inches, so I end up at around 5'11" in them, which in my opinion is another perk because I don't hate being tall.

What We're Loving, #3

Hi guys! This weekend was a little hectic, with all of the shoots for this blog here, and usual weekend stuff, but also, Brett got his wisdom teeth out Thursday, so that's been fun too. It really wasn't too bad of a weekend, Bailey and I still had fun playing all weekend and letting Daddy rest. :) What We're Loving this week is probably one of my favorite ones yet! It's getting a bit easier to curate our favorite things throughout the week, which is why I think I'm enjoying myself. I already finished the Book of the Month and it was amazing. The review and discussion will come at the end of the month, but I'm itching to talk about it now! Luckily my mom read it too, so I'm hoping to discuss it soon with her, hi Mom! But I digress, the book in this post is really great too, I read it in a couple of days. Check out everything else we're interested in this week below!

What We're....

Wearing: My cat-eye shades from Target/An adorable jumpsuit, couldn't be cuter!

Reading: A novel I picked up at the Salvation Army, so good!/An appropriate book, considering the weather.

Eating: Salt and Vinegar Kettle Chips/Cheese, all the cheese.

Making: Anything involving my stamp collection/Messes, and then attempting to clean them up herself!

Loving: My little copper friends (a failed attempt at mini candles)/Anything involving her shoes.

To Line Up Your Fall Shoes

Hey Readers! Ahhhhh shoes. I just can't get enough. Especially when fall rolls in and I get to pull out my ever-growing collection of ankle boots. I generally put away all sandals at the first sign of chill, and I find that I don't really miss them until around February when I'm just done with winter and shopping for spring. My personal rule regarding seasonal shopping coincides with the capsule wardrobe concept. I have all my basics for each season hanging in the closet, and then I check out what draws my eye in the trendy, street style reports on Pinterest. While I have shared what those 5 pieces were for the fall/winter season here, today I want to show you all what my rotation for shoes looks like in the fall. Just to note, I'm not a big heels person. I can walk in them just fine, and love the way they look, but even at 5' 7", when I wear them I just feel too tall. I wear them to events that call for them, like weddings, but they aren't a day to day thing for me. That being said, my very essential black ankle boots that have about a 3" heel are a more reasonable, casual height and I feel more than comfortable in them. Along with the link for the actual shoe, I've linked similar options in case mine have sold out. Enjoy!
